Roth Announces Campaign Honorary Co-Chairmen

OKLAHOMA CITY - Corporation Commissioner Jim Roth today announced the Honorary Co-Chairmen of his 2008 campaign.  The Honorary Co-Chairmen are:

  •  Clayton I. and Louise Bennett, Oklahoma City
  •  Harold and Sue Ann Hamm, Enid
  •  George and Cookie Kaiser, Tulsa
  •  Aubrey and Katie McClendon, Oklahoma City

In a letter mailed to friends by Mr. Bennett and Mr. McClendon they state, "Moving Oklahoma forward by making it a better place to work and live is a mutual goal.  Jim Roth also shares our vision of a pro-growth Oklahoma."  They continue, "As the Incumbent, he is a leader that demonstrates the vision, integrity and experience necessary for the responsibility of this position."

In a letter mailed to friends signed by Mr. Kaiser, along with eight other supporters including Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor, Stacy Schusterman, Buddy Kleemeier, Jody Parker, Jim Adelson, Stuart Price, Pete Regan and Ken Levit, they wrote, "Jim Roth, one of the brightest young political newcomers to arise in Oklahoma during the past several years was appointed to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission last year by Governor Brad Henry and is running for election to the post in November. Jim proved himself a diligent, analytical, pragmatic leader as Oklahoma County Commissioner and he has demonstrated the same skills in his short period of service as Corporation Commissioner. We believe that it is important to encourage intelligence and judgment in public office at a time when political pandering is becoming so much more prevalent."

"I feel so fortunate to have the support of this group of Oklahomans," said Jim Roth.  "They are distinguished leaders who love our state and we share the belief that Oklahoma's best days are still ahead.  I am working hard to grow Oklahoma's economy and our energy future for the sake of every Oklahoman from every walk of life.  Together, we Oklahomans can make great progress."

Three fundraising receptions to help kick off the Roth Campaign will be hosted by the campaign co-chairs.  The first will be hosted by Harold and Sue Ann Hamm at their home in Enid on Thursday, May 15th.  An event at the Tulsa home of George and Cookie Kaiser follows on Thursday, May 29th.   And on Thursday, June 26th Clayton I. Bennett and Aubrey K. McClendon will host the third event at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
